Major Grants
We will provide one-, two- or three-year grants to support organizations whose missions are aligned with our focus of improving the overall health status of individuals and creating healthy communities through increasing access to health services and information. Our 2009 Major Grants are designed to provide primarily core operating support for non profit organizations vital to the health and welfare of our community and serving these populations efficiently and effectively.

Tau Grants
Tau grant applications will be reviewed in four cycles or until the funding is exhausted. Requests received by 12 noon January 23, April 24, July 24 and October 23, 2009 will be considered during that cycle.

Capacity Building Scholarships
Allegany Franciscan Ministries will award Capacity Building Scholarships throughout 2009 as long as funds are available. Scholarships of up to $500 may be requested to pay registration fees for conferences, seminars and other training opportunities for the staff and volunteers (e.g. board members) of nonprofit organizations in order to increase their capacity to deliver efficient and effective services to those in need. There is a limit of $1,000 in scholarship funding per agency per year.
Organizations may submit scholarship applications at any time, preferably at least three (3) weeks prior to the registration deadline of the conference or training program.
